Description:

Important and unusual pair of wall lanterns in silver with their respective supports, in the style of the processional lanterns of the 17th century. In our opinion, it may be a pair of lanterns used in a palace with a double function as wall appliques or to illuminate one's way, transported by servants. Lanterns of a cylindrical shape with six window panes, separated by scroll motifs in an "S" shape, topped by cast and scalloped cupoles, decorated with a truss, plant scrolls and fins, winding up in a chiseled bulb. Wall support, with three points for support, decorated with plant motifs. Electrified. Losses, restoration work and defects. (2)Total approximate gross weight: 7 220 g.Approximate height of the lantern: 130 cm.Approximate height of the support: 81 cm.
