  • Literature: Pintor brasileiro contemporâneo, trabalhou em Portugal com alguma frequência. Usando formas sintéticas de traço grosso, por vezes geometrista, representa trechos de velhos casarios e tipos populares, de preferência à beira-mar e a charneca alentejana. Usou o pseudónimo de TOM, que ligou depois definitivamente ao seu nome artístico. Sobretudo decorador, fez parte do grupo de decoradores-pintores do Secretariado de Propaganda Nacional colaborando no arranjo dos pavilhões portugueses nas grandes exposições internacionais. Ganhou o prémio Francisco de Holanda do S.N.I. (1945) e o prémio destinado ao melhor artista estrangeiro no Salão de Lisboa (1947). Está representado no Museu do Chiado e no Museu de Arte Popular.

    Contemporary Brazilian painter, he worked in Portugal with some frequency. Using synthetic forms with thick lines, sometimes geometrist, it represents parts of old houses and popular types, preferably by the sea and the Alentejo moor. He used the pseudonym TOM, which he then definitively linked to his stage name. Above all, he was a decorator, he was part of the group of decorator-painters of the Secretariat for National Propaganda, collaborating in the arrangement of Portuguese pavilions in major international exhibitions. He won the Francisco de Holanda prize from the SNI (1945) and the prize for the best foreign artist at the Salão de Lisboa (1947). He is represented at the Chiado Museum and at the Popular Art Museum.
