  • Literature: André Lanskoy, nasceu em Moscovo, em 1902. Viveu e trabalhou, essencialmente, em Paris, estando o seu trabalho fortemente associado ao Tachismo, um estilo de pintura abstrata equivalente do Expressionismo abstrato norte-americano desenvolvido em França entre os anos 40 e 50.
    A sua obra é caracterizada por grandes composições de cores vivas, pela construção de formas lineares abstratas e pela criação de padrões e ritmos de cor e luz. Ao longo de sua actividade, Lanskoy criou paisagens mutáveis que se associam a uma sensação de movimento ou violência.
    A sua obra foi essencialmente influênciada por artistas como Vincent van Gogh, Paul Klee e Wassily Kandinsky.

    André Lanskoy, was born in Moscow in 1902. He lived and worked primarily in Paris, his work being strongly associated with Tachism, a style of abstract painting equivalent to the American Abstract Expressionism developed in France between the 1940s and 1950s.
    His work is characterized by large compositions of bright colors, the construction of abstract linear forms, and the creation of patterns and rhythms of color and light. Throughout his activity, Lanskoy created changeable landscapes that are associated with a sense of movement or violence.
    His work was primarily influenced by artists such as Vincent van Gogh, Paul Klee and Wassily Kandinsky.
