Description:

Indo-Portuguese cabinet from the 17th century, in sissoo, teak, ebony and ivory. Case with ten drawers, simulating twelve. Decoration with a profuse inlaid work with plant motifs and tiger heads. Base with two drawers and a large drawer. Legs in the shape of four nagines resting on later biscuit feet. Top and sides decorated with a frame in relief. The whole item is decorated with pierced mount in gilded copper. Corners, knobs and escutcheons in brass with a lace design. Original tinned fittings. Beautiful patina. Restoration work, losses and defects.
