Grande caneca com tampa, do séc. XIX, em marfim esculpido em alto e baixo-relevo, representando cena de alegoria ao Deus Baco. Ao centro está representado Baco, parcialmente coberto por folhas de videira, deitando vinho numa taça, directamente de um cacho de uvas. Por toda a cena estão representadas bacantes e faunos a dançar a tocar instrumentos musicais, sendo um dos representados Pã. Tampa com friso gomado, friso decorado com cabeças de putto envoltas em enrolamentos vegetalistas, friso de elementos côncavos e botão da tampa em forma de figura feminina, desnuda, ajoelhada. Apoio do dedo em forma de cabeça de figura feminina, envolta em motivos vegetalistas e charneira decorada com motivos estilizados. Pega em forma de sereia envolta em motivos vegetalistas. Base profusamente decorada com figuras antropomórficas tocando cornetas, vasos floridos, carranca e motivos vegetalistas. Restauros, fissuras, falhas, faltas e defeitos. Alt. aprox.: 41 cm.; Peso aprox.: 1580 g.

  • Large mug with a lid, from the 19th century. XIX, in ivory carved in high and low relief, representing a scene of allegory to the God Bacchus. In the center is represented Bacchus, partially covered by vine leaves, pouring wine into a glass, directly from a bunch of grapes. Baccans and fauns dancing to play musical instruments are represented throughout the scene, one of whom is represented Pã. Cover with gummed frieze, frieze decorated with putto heads wrapped in vegetal wrappings, frieze of concave elements and cover button in the shape of a naked female figure, kneeling. Finger support in the shape of a female figure head, wrapped in plant motifs and hinge decorated with stylized motifs. Handle in the shape of a mermaid wrapped in plant motifs. Base profusely decorated with anthropomorphic figures playing horns, flowering vases, frown and plant motifs. Restorations, cracks, failures, faults and defects. Approx. Height: 41 cm .; Approx weight: 1580 g.
