Importante grupo escultórico representando a Deposição de Cristo no túmulo, escultura do séc. XVIII, em barro policromado, estofado e dourado. Toda a cena se desenvolve à volta de Jesus Cristo representado morto, com chagas abertas, deitado sobre mesa e parcialmente envolto num sudário branco. O seu corpo inanimado é apoiado por Nossa Senhora e Nicodemos. Nossa Senhora, ajoelhada à cabeça de Jesus Cristo, segura-o pelos ombros enquanto lhe apoia a cabeça e ajeita o sudário. Nicodemos segura o Seu braço direito levantado enquanto Lhe lava o corpo com uma esponja. A seus pés, Maria Madalena, segura, na mão direita o pote com unguentos. São João de Arimateia retira os unguentos para ungir o corpo de Jesus, enquanto o envolve no sudário. Atrás, ao centro da composição está representado São João Evangelista, em sofrimento, levando as mãos à cabeça. Todas as figuras envergam vestes profusamente decoradas em tons policromos e dourados com motivos florais e vegetalistas. Em maquineta em madeira entalhada, recortada e dourada, profusamente decorada com enrolamentos vegetalistas, aletas, motivos vegetalistas e feixe de plumas estilizado ao centro, sendo a frente e as laterais envidraçadas.   • Condition: Important sculptural group representing the Deposition of Christ in the tomb, sculpture from the 17th century. XVIII, in polychrome clay, upholstered and gilded. The entire scene revolves around Jesus Christ depicted as dead, with open wounds, lying on a table and partially wrapped in a white shroud. His inanimate body is supported by Our Lady and Nicodemus. Our Lady, kneeling at the head of Jesus Christ, holds him by the shoulders while supporting his head and adjusting the shroud. Nicodemus holds His right arm raised as he washes His body with a sponge. At her feet, Mary Magdalene holds the pot of ointments in her right hand. St. John of Arimathea removes the ointments to anoint the body of Jesus, while wrapping him in the shroud. At the back, in the center of the composition, Saint John the Evangelist is represented, in suffering, holding his hands to his head. All the figures wear profusely decorated garments in polychrome and golden tones with floral and plant motifs. In carved, gilded and carved wood, profusely decorated with plant windings, fins, plant motifs and a stylized bundle of feathers at the center, with the front and sides glazed.
