HOW TO BUY

BUY AT AUCTION

Catalogue

A catalogue is published for each Live Auction.
These are thoroughly illustrated, containing detailed information about each lot and its respective price estimates. The catalogue is the reference instrument for all auction bidding.
The catalogue can be checked online, purchased at Palácio do Correio Velho’s Main Office or sent directly to each client’s address.
You can request or subscribe your Catalogue by calling +351 213 242 980 or placing your order online.

Exhibition
On the days before the Live Auction, all lots to be sold are exhibited at Palácio do Correio Velho’s showrooms, where they can be looked at, handled and analysed, with the support of our employees.
All exhibitions at Palácio do Correio Velho have free admission and are open to the public for all of those who want to come visit.
Dates and schedules are available for consultation in our catalogues or online in our website.

Live Auction
All our auctions have free admission, and even in the event you are not interested in bidding, you can simply watch.
If you intend to bid, you must register about 30 minutes before the Auction starts. You will be given a numbered paddle that must be used for bidding on your preferred lots.
In case you cannot watch the auction but still want to bid, you must fill in, sign and return the form of Purchase Order and Telephone Bidding.
If it is more comfortable, you can also bid by using our Online International Platform Invaluable.
On the day of the auction, the opening value for each lot will be based on the minimum estimate. It is up to you to determine the amount you are prepared to pay for the pieces of your interest.

Online Auction
If you intend to bid at the Online Auction, you must register and enter your personal account at the website of Palácio do Correio Velho, before the Auction starts.
On the tab Online Auctions, select the auction you wish to access, and then you will only have to choose your favourite lots and make your bid or leave your offer.
For Online Auctions, the bids can only be made in the 3 to 4 day period in which the Auctions are active.

Paying, Collecting or Sending Lots
If your bidding was successful and you were able to purchase the lots that most interested you, you can pay those lots at the end of the auction or wait until the invoice is sent to your address or e-mail address. After receiving that same invoice, you will have 5 working days to proceed with the liquidation.
Purchased lots can be paid by Credit Card, PayPal, ATM, Cheque, and Bank Transfer or with Cash.
If you choose bank transfer, you must always place the number of your invoice as a reference along with the following elements:
