SELLING AT AUCTION

Auction Sales Contract

You have received a valuation and have decided to put your items up for auction. Palácio do Correio Velho will sign an auction sales contract with you, that will specify the seller’s details, detailed descriptions, estimates of the items and the corresponding sales commissions, together with Palácio do Correio Velho’s Terms and Conditions of Sale.

After the Auction

After the auction has been held, the seller will be sent a Sales Note to his home address, specifying the lots that have been sold and the net value to be received.

Payment will be made within 30 days after the latest auction session, in accordance with Palácio do Correio Velho’s Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Unsold lots

The seller should decide within a 30 day deadline whether unsold lots will be re-presented in a future auction, under terms and conditions to be agreed with Palácio do Correio Velho, or whether he intends to recover them. In the latter case, the seller should collect all unsold items within the aforementioned deadline, after which time storage fees will be levied, in accordance with the prevailing price list.
